Sound Collage

This is a soundscape project I created while living in London in 2003, studying with Friends World at the European Centre.
I edited it with only a minidisc player and spliced it together with Sound Forge after the semester was over and my portfolio was already late, so it’s not the smoothest (unlike Ayme Frye’s awesome soundscape she created for her presentation).
I titled this work Sound Collage, because collage is the form of visual art that I usually work with. This is a collage of my experiences in Europe that semester, with sounds from Poland, Berlin, and London. The rock n roll show is Billy Childish at the Dirty Water Club, and the DJ set is me, spinning at the Elephant’s Head in Camden. Hope you dig it, and don’t worry you diehard fans out there, another podcast show will happen soon. I just wish my internet wasn’t so stupid slow here, and that I could get anything done in a timely fashion without the phone ringing or something like that….
